The first few chapters caught my attention and got me interested in the book. My interest waned a little in the middle, but I stuck with it and it picked back up.Overall, I enjoyed the book but I honestly have no idea where the story is going from here. If the book were solely focused on this one planet with these survivors then I would call it a successful first book in the series.Having said that, there are some vague hints dropped that suggest other things are going on but there's not enough information to make me care beyond this planet with these six people.If the series is just about these survivors on this planet, I think the author could have done a little more at the end of the book to establish things but I legitimately don't know where things may go in a second book. Will have to see what the synopsis says if a second book is released, to determine if I want to continue the series. This is a well thought out story. The main character and cast are well thought out and the story timeline and character development is great. There is everything from fighting monsters to sex scenes but not to the extreme that you get the feel that the author dose not use it for fillers or adolescent fantasies. The main character is making intelligent decions on how to survive. NOW WE JUST WAIT FOR NEXT BOOK! very impatiently I might add....
